Banana Chocolate Muffin Recipe.

There are many individuals who are lovers of chocolate.  There are many who are lovers of bananas.  I happen to love both.  I also adore fresh banana bread.  This is a tasty combo of all three.  It's such an easy mix and pretty much a no fail recipe.  Doesn't matter how experienced in the kitchen you are.
I've always got over ripened bananas on hand for baking.  All the other ingredients were in my fridge and pantry.  I didn't need to run to the store for anything!  That is big plus.  While these were baking both of my littles said "ohh yummy" and "smells good mommy"  That is what I'm going for.  I love seeing my girls eat, it makes me so happy.  That sounds really strange.

Here is the recipe for my Banana Chocolate Muffins

1 stick of softened butter
1 cup of sugar
2 eggs
3 super ripe bananas
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 cups all purpose flour
1/4 cup of sweetened condensed milk
1 heaping tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda

Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees.  Cream butter, sugar, and eggs in large bowl.  Add in mashed bananas.  Then add in your vanilla, salt, cinnamon, and baking powders.  Combine again.  Slowly add in your cocoa and flour till everything is mixed.  I drop large scoops into lined muffin tins. Bake for 25 minutes and check with tooth pick, if it comes out clean they're donzo.  Let them cool and enjoy!

This made 19 muffins, you could pull off 20!

Thank you so much for reading and let me know if you decide to bake these muffins up.

Much love, Linzi

  1. Yum! I'll have to try this. I can never seem to eat my bananas fast enough, and I'm forever with a bunch of frozen overripe ones!
