So this last weekend my girlfriend and I went out to dinner and saw a movie, at a real theatre! Just a short and sweet mama date! We ate Greek food and saw Captain Sherman? The one with Tom Hanks. It was based on a true story about pirates. It wasn't my normal go to movie but I really liked it and was gritting my teeth from suspense the whole time. Just something like getting out of the house and having girl talk was good for my soul.
I couldn't believe it, the next day my husband and I were able to go on a little date ourselves! Grab some Italian food and even get some Christmas shopping done. All thanks to my lovely sister in law, Christina. Being away from our girls for four hours is enough. We want to get back to them and go home! Its just the point of being alone together and talking, holding hands, and just being, that is so precious. If you have kids than you know what I mean.
These are my going out in public outfits. I know its definitely not dressy to a lot of women, but for me it is. I feel "stylish" and put together. My husband says I look hot, so that's what counts! I know you're not suppose to wear white after Labor Day but here's to breaking the rules! This cowl neck sweater is one my favorite styles!
I know we all love coffee and Starbucks. We have so many espresso stands here in town I usually get mine from there. My new favorite coffee treat of November is a white chocolate peppermint mocha. So tasty and festive, puts me in the mood to Christmas shop or even fold laundry! Haha
Lastly I have to admit I'm really enjoying blogging. Sharing recipes and pictures of my life. It is a creative outlet for me to journal and just express myself to people who matter and care about me and my family. I know that I'm not a witty writer or the best at describing things but doing this makes me feel like a have a little niche in this world. I love reading other mama's blogs and finding similarities in our lives. Even getting tips and insight to be a better me. I sit here at my vanity/desk, looking out the window and type this now, channeling my inner Carrie Bradshaw.
Much love, Linzi
I'm so happy you are finding time and things for yourself!! Since being stay home it has been a challenge to treat myself because I never get to fully come out of "mom mode" like I did when I was working! I miss the days of having a social life at work and blogging gives me that outlet:) I also love your nail color and your outfits!!

Boy, oh {mamas} boys Blog
It is so easy to forget about ourselves and just assume our role as mom and wife. Sometimes even just a hot bubble bath can take all the stress of the day away. I bought a bottle of my favorite wine today so I'm going to indulge in that later. Thank you for the compliments, you are a beautiful friend.
